What about the "kscreenlocker" executable in the same directory? You may wish to compare the permissions with your /usr installation.

You can "unlock" it by switching to a VT, logging in, then entering the following. Afterwards you can switch back and your desktop will be unlocked.

Code: Select all
killall -9 kscreenlocker

Can you please ensure that "krunner_lock" is not present in /usr/lib/kde4/libexec/?
Also ensure the owner and owning group of /usr/lib/kde4/libexec/kcheckpass and /usr/bin/passwd match?
