Hi fellows,
I'm using KDE menu editor 0.6.1, under KDE 3.3.1.3.14 Reh Hat. My difficulty is the following: I can create new sub-menus and new itens without any problem. They work correctly. However, every time I logout, all my updates disappear! It seems that my machine has some definition that prevents me from changing anything in K menu. How to fix this? Which files, parameters and/or variables do control the changes in K menu? Cheers, Jose Clauver Macae - RJ - Brasil |

The changes are supposed to be saved under either ~/.kde or ~/.local. Please make sure that everything under these folders is owned, and is writable by your user.

Hi, bcooksley!
With your comment I could scan my folders and find the solution. The problem was that there was a script called kde.sh under directory ~/.kde/Autostart. This file has all original definitions for the K Menu. In this place, it was executed at each login, re-building original configuration. Solution was simply remove kde.sh from ~/.kde/Autostart directory. Thanks for your reply. Regards, Jose Clauver (caruncho99) Macae - RJ - Brasil |
