I'm not exactly all that familiar with nepomuk and not completely aware at its current status besides in being in development and not fully completed. In dolphin I added some tags to a few images and then in Krunner I did a search for some of the tags to test it out. It found the tag and I clicked on it. At which point my dolphin app icon came up and started bouncing up and down as usual. However it never loaded and in system monitor nepomuksearch was using all my cpu and so I had to end, which caused dolphin to pop up but it wasn't at any folder.
I don't have Strigi running, is that required for it to run properly or is nepomuk just not ready for even searching... A random side question, my tags when I highlight them with my cursor they turn pink... Why is it pink? |

Which version of KDE are you using? KDE 4.3 or later is recommended.

That is the default color for active text, see systemsettings -> appearance -> colors |

Same problem exists over here, did you find a solution?

Nope and more than just us have this problem as well: http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/Dr ... ent=111943
Read some of the comments, other people are having them same issues with Nepomuk. Which sort of makes it useless if you can't easily find the files you've tagged. I guess I'll just have to be patient. |

It's "nepomukservicestub nepomukstorage" wich uses 100% of my CPU. There are commentaries about the default storage backend (redland) being awefully slow (there's no other backend avaible in repositories [Fedora 11]). But beeing slow is different to never finish... so no nepomuk for me too.
42: There is no other answer. There are only different ways to express it.
