Hello,
I have two panels ( one at the top and one at the bottom of the screen )
I'd like to put two system trays on them.
On the upper one i'd like to put skype, deluge and kxkb
and on the bottom one - klipper and kmix

Is it possible to do it?

Unfortunately it is not possible due to the limitations of the current systray protocol.

The only way it could be possible would be if everyone switched to the new protocol that the plasma people are proposing.

this is most unfortunate.
Is there a way to put kmix and klipper outside the system tray?

Not currently. That would require kmix and klipper plasmoids be made available, which has not happened. However, I think kmix and klipper are two of the system tray icons that do support the new protocol, so you should be able to hide them in one system tray and make them visible in the other.

Yes, this is a good idea, but works only with kmix. klipper seems unmovable.
It also seem to me that the the two system trays share the same configuration and if I change one the other one changes too.
It would be so much easier with plasmoids!

Klipper still uses the old system. It's easy to see when you put the mouse pointer over an icon - the ones using the new protocol have a hover effect.
