Hello Everyone
I just enabled the desctop-effects and also the desktopcube. I dont like the default key CRTL+F11 since I need both hands to enable it this way. I want to have it the same way I had it in Compiz on Gnome, so I went to the settings for this effect and tried to set a custom key-binding. But somehow, the control doesnt accept a mouse-click? I can do something like CRTL+ALT+J for example but I cannot CRTL+ALT+MouseButton1. Also I am not sure if I will get the result I would like to. I guess even if I get the binding running, it will enable the effekt and I have to press again to disable it. From the usability point of view I personaly think it is the best when the cube is activated while holding down CRTL+ALT+MB1 and when I release MB1 the the cube goes back to the desktop. Is this possible somehow? Thanks |

Currently it's not possible to create mouse shortcuts in KDE. For now you can use e.g. xbindkeys; I wrote a tutorial about it that you can find here.

What about active corners (is this the right word?)? you have to get used to it, but by using them you can activate the cube without even using the keyboard. It's in systemsettings->workspace.
