I don't know why but it looks weird:
I open a web page in Arora, select its address in address bar and try to copy it in Firefox address bar. The problem: The address pastes into Forefox address bar only if Arora is still open. If i copy the address, close Arora and try to copy it to Firefox - nothing pastes. |

Just realized i have unloaded Klipper. Could be this the issue? Why?

It's expected behavior. Klipper acts as a sort of intermediary, since the application (firefox for example) "owns" whatever is copied from it using ctrl-c. When firefox is closed, its clipboard buffers are emptied and as such there is nothing to paste without klipper or an equivalent clipboard-history program running. Check http://www.pixelbeat.org/docs/xclipboard.html for more details.

Thnaks for the info.
Good to know. Quite a big difference from Windows. Klipper was eating the memory so i closed it... |

Eating memory? For me it takes about 5 meg upon startup. How much it eats after that is, of course, depending on what you place on the clipboard. As far as the "quite big difference" goes...I'm not sure it's such a big one. As long as klipper is running, it's no difference at all as far as I can see. And actually, IIRC (haven't had a windows system myself for a couple of years), windows behaves the same way except that its equivalent of klipper is not shown in the systray. And even if I remember wrong: it's a matter of what you're used to. Personally, when I have to use a windows-system (at university for example) I tend to forget that clicking the middle/wheel button of the mouse won't paste whatever is on the current clipboard selection.
