kpeople,
I just upgraded to KDE-4.3 from 3.5 and noticed a couple of problems with Latvian support and changes in apostrophe deadkey behaviour: 0) previously after apostrophe hey was pressed twice, it produced a single apostrophe character, now I simply cant demonstrate it... 1) there is one symbol similar to c, in capital variant its like "Č" - in KDE apps there is no way to type it. 2) in non-kde apps no Latvian specific characters can be typed in at all! Also when the same fonts are used for konsole, which are known to show correct symbols in old konsole and in font preview of new ones config, they produce a strange "?" mark for all of the Latvian specific characters... Interestingly enough, when some filesystem strings with supposedly the same characters get displayed, they are correct. So I guess, they arent the same after all. So, what can be done? What else can cause this but some part of KDE?

News on this: as I also use Spanish and Russian keymaps, at systemsettings this line is generated:
But, when this one is executed from command line:
My native "č" is back as it should be, also konsole is ok! So, now the question is: why was it working well on KDE 3.5, but fails now on #4? It looks like a bug to me, just where?

This is possibly a bug in the Keyboard Layout KCM.
