hi

I use the KDE Keyboard Layout switcher daily, but since yesterday it crashed on both of my computers. First it was just on one, but I thought the openSUSE 11.2 M6 would be the reason. I updated few days ago both computers to 11.2 and now also on the second one the Keyboard layout switcher crashes right after booting.
Even if I go to "Personal Settings" --> "Language and Region" --> "Keyboard" it crashes. My actual question is, in which package is the KDE keyboard layout switcher, so I can install the debuginfo and src packages to report the bug if it doesn't exist yet.

I use openSUSE 11.2 and KDE 4.3.3

look at both kbd and kxkb.
i use the same thing, English/Russian and the only thing i see is that kxkb is running. in kbd there is nothing about english and russian selected, so i don't think it's in there.. afraid to mess with it.
there is also a lib called libxklavier that has to do with the xkb.

i have a similar problem, thank God not the crash, but after a resent update, i could no longer use Ctrl+Alt+K to change layouts. I went in to 'personal settings'> Regional and Language> Switching Options and was unable to set the 'Main shortcuts:' back to CAK.. so i was forced to use the Microsucks Alt+Shift to get it done..

something i installed or updated is aparently using the CAK key combination.
again, thank God i don't crash.. i crash with enough other things.

Landis.
