Hi,
I'm running KDE 4.3.1 on FreeBSD 8.0 and I can't get the keyboard shortcut for activating the lock/logout widget to work (System Settings > Keyboard & Mouse > Global Keyboard Settings > Plasma Workspace). The default is Ctrl+Alt+S, but nothing happens when I use that key combination. I also tried setting other shortcuts for this, but none of those work either. My keyboard works fine and so do my other keyboard shortcuts. Any ideas? Thanks! |

I'm now having the same issue with KDE 4.4.3 on Slackware Linux 13.1. Now, however, I find that none of my user defined keyboard shortcuts work, for applications (I've defined this for particular apps by using KDE's Menu Editor) or the aforementioned lock/logout widget. The keyboard shortcuts have been registered - i.e. I can see that the correct keys have appeared after I've pressed them. Again, however, when I use a given shortcut, nothing happens.
Is there any help with this? |

Have you ensured that "KMenuEdit" is enabled in System Settings > Input Actions?
