Hi,

I'm running KDE 4.3.1 on FreeBSD 8.0 and I can't get the keyboard shortcut for activating the lock/logout widget to work (System Settings > Keyboard & Mouse > Global Keyboard Settings > Plasma Workspace). The default is Ctrl+Alt+S, but nothing happens when I use that key combination. I also tried setting other shortcuts for this, but none of those work either. My keyboard works fine and so do my other keyboard shortcuts.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I'm now having the same issue with KDE 4.4.3 on Slackware Linux 13.1. Now, however, I find that none of my user defined keyboard shortcuts work, for applications (I've defined this for particular apps by using KDE's Menu Editor) or the aforementioned lock/logout widget. The keyboard shortcuts have been registered - i.e. I can see that the correct keys have appeared after I've pressed them. Again, however, when I use a given shortcut, nothing happens.

Is there any help with this?

Have you ensured that "KMenuEdit" is enabled in System Settings > Input Actions?
