Whenever you start an application an icon appears on the lower right of the mouse pointer and disappears when the application is fully loaded.
This happens for every click so eg. amarok is already running, I click on three mp3 files to add them to the play list and I get this nerve-wrecking icon near my mouse pointer for 20 seconds PLUS an additional tab-entry in the panel.
This happens with all executables, is there any way to suppress that behaviour?

I'll revive this thread to add a new question:

is it possible to replace the bouncing icon behavior with the usual "loading" cursor - so to still have a startup notification in the mouse cursor, but without any specific application's icon appearing, only the default loading cursor from cursor theme?
