I have changed and changed things in settings and get no results other than a font.
In 'personal settings'> Appearance i have the following. Style: Oxygen Color: Scheme: Started with Oxygen and tried to change it. reads 'current' In 'Desktop Settings' I have a theme called Tania In 'personal settings' > Advanced> Desktop Theme Details: Everything says Tania..\ Mozilla FireFox 3.6b6: I have a 'theme' called Office 2007 Here is the problem... No matter what i change in settings I can NOT change the 'title bar' to black.. I used to. Right now the only way for me to change any little detail is to use Someone Else's Theme or Scheme... Don't Like it. Why are there 14 places to change the same thing? You (I) have to go to several different places to change little pieces of the same thing.. And it's not just the look, it's Networking, Sharing, etc.. Landis.. This is me trying not to sound '****'... I'm sorry Hans, but i am not a very nice person when i don't understand something I believe should make much more sense than it does. I hate stupid people and when i feel stupid because some dumb **** has no common sense, I get ****. I can not believe I'm letting these little 'color' issues bug me to the point where i'm not getting any work done.. dumb... (me) |

You can change the window decoration theme in System Settings -> Appearance -> Windows. If you use the "Oxygen" decoration and want to change the color, you have to switch to "Ozone" and uncheck "Blend title bar colors with window contents". The Oxygen window decoration doesn't allow you to change the color of the title bar in KDE SC < 4.4.
The color can be changed in the "Colors" module in System Settings -> Appearance. If you feel you could help with improving something, feel free to contribute. You could file bug reports, participate in discussions or do the actual work if you want. Everything is not always as easy as they first appear - for example, see this topic for the structure of System Settings. Please remember that people have put a lot of time and effort into various parts of KDE Software. Ranting won't make anything better. In the end it's not about you being a nice person or not; if you don't follow the , you'll get warnings and eventually be banned.

Thank you Hans. Again, there are so many places to to so many pieces of what seem should be in the same place... I'll get it.
I do try to forward all the information possible. I have installed the debug packages for most all the apps i use regularly and those that i've had problems with and i Always 'send' debug info. I would like to do more, I have many 'simple' ideas but am not the best coder.
I know that people are ,,, well being paid a lot less than the bums at Microsucks (zero)... LOL.. and they are putting their hearts into it... I don't mean to degrade or berate them, I couldn't do what they, you are do... Again, I Am SORRY to You ALL... I should really be mad at myself for getting mad for the last time at MS and in one day deciding to change All my workstations to openSuSE and KDE... Playing with it for years, and using only it, every day.... Two different things. I was a master at MS registry, am a MSCE, CNE, CSE etc... being familiar and depending on it, again, 2 different things. KDE, openSuSE are not bad enough to ever go back to MS! Again, Thank you Спасибо, Landis. |

Nice to hear that it helped. Yes, the Oxygen vs Ozone window thing is tricky, but I think it's better in KDE SC 4.4 where you only (?) have Oxygen, with many advance features from Nitrogen.
