I have a tedious problem with my keyboard. Many keyboard shortcuts are not working. The problem has something to do with the system shortcuts to change virtual terminal: sometimes when I use ALT+F4 (for instance), the screen shows the 4th virtual terminal as if I use CTRL+ALT+F4. In general, ALT+F3, ALT+F4, ALT+TAB, CTRL+Fx do not work, i.e. have no effect.
In System settings -> "Regional and Language" I set my keyboard model as "Evdev-managed keayboard". I tried to set this to another value, change some options, but the problem is always there. |

Try disabling the setting of Keyboard layout by KDE. Also, check to see if a new user is affected.

I tried, but that did not solved the problem
Yes, the new user is also affected. EDIT: I also have Fluxbox, and with that WM there is no problem: ALT+TAB and other shortcuts work good. |

Do you use KDE Trunk? If so, a regression has occurred post Qt 4.6.0 which breaks shortcuts in KDE Trunk.
