no one of cpu/system/memory load monitors does not work.
in their configurations there're no sensors selectable. gnome system monitor works well, showing all cpu/mem/net load and temp. what do kde stuff need to show the info? P.S. kde 4.3.2 on kubuntu 9.10 (upgraded from (g)ubuntu 9.04) |

This is likely because KSysGuard fails to access the sensors. Try opening KSysGuard and check if it works.

ksysguard doesn't tell why it cannot access the sensors.
i failed to find any help about where does it look them for. |

If KSysGuard fails to show them, then you cannot use the Plasma applets, until you fix it.
I believe KSysGuard may use /sys or /proc for its information.

the question
is indeed about: what exactly plasmoids and ksysguard need to show parameters about cpu/memory/network load and sensors data. if i had /proc or /sys broken, then neitther gnome sysmonitor, nor top/htop, nor lm-sensors could show the info. here i have only kde indicators broken. |
