no one of cpu/system/memory load monitors does not work.
in their configurations there're no sensors selectable.

gnome system monitor works well, showing all cpu/mem/net load and temp.

what do kde stuff need to show the info?

P.S.
kde 4.3.2 on kubuntu 9.10 (upgraded from (g)ubuntu 9.04)

This is likely because KSysGuard fails to access the sensors. Try opening KSysGuard and check if it works.

ksysguard doesn't tell why it cannot access the sensors.
i failed to find any help about where does it look them for.

If KSysGuard fails to show them, then you cannot use the Plasma applets, until you fix it.

I believe KSysGuard may use /sys or /proc for its information.

the question
qmax wrote:what do kde stuff need to show the info?

is indeed about:
what exactly plasmoids and ksysguard need to show parameters about cpu/memory/network load and sensors data.

if i had /proc or /sys broken,
then neitther gnome sysmonitor, nor top/htop, nor lm-sensors could show the info.

here i have only kde indicators broken.
