There was this little app that I found on kde-apps, and can't find it any more and can't remember the name. It was mentioned long time ago on mailing list, but no luck digging it out.

It enabled end users to use latest localization revision from SVN, one-click check and instant (?) installation of latest PO. It was so simple even I was able to install it and use it

Anybody remembers that one?

Thread moved to a more appropriate forum. The Developers > i18n & l10n forum is for the discussion of Internationalisation / Localisation by developers ( ie. How to write translatable strings, etc. ) not how to update to SVN translations, which by the way may not even work ( they may have changed completely and you might end up with completely unusable applications ( in the worst case )

Well, t was working OK last time I tried that one. If I remember correctly, there was an option to choose the branch from which you will update your local copy.

Anyway, any clue from anybody?

Thanks Githzerai, that is very helpful. If I remember correctly, that is the exact procedure I used before.

However, I would like to know about that particular application, as it i s better suited for end users with very little knowledge of KDE and/or Linux. They are spoiled by Windows OS, and typing all that commands usually drives them away from Linux. This was simple GUI app and all you had to do is input SVN address for anonymous access, which users could copy/paste with no trouble. Any clues?

I think you are talking about kdesvn. There is a stable kde3 version (which is in fact the only kde3 app I use these days) but I think the author is working on a kde4 version.

No, that one check SVN in general. The one that I have in mind check only localization branch AND installs appropriate translation. If I remember correctly, it can also check if latest PO is compatible with users application.

I've searched half of my numerous CDs and DVDs, I' sure that I made a backup, but I cannot remember what was it name. I do remember that i was not all that popular among proficient users as they are more inclined to console.
