Konqueror and Google Maps

Wed Jan 13, 2010 10:18 am
Hi,

I really like to use konqueror especially as file browser and a little less as webbrowser! But sometimes it drives me crazy. After the upgrade from kde 3.5 to 4.3 konqueror seemed to work better (more sites available) but now I get the feeling it is getting worse. E.g. maps.google.de

Yeterday it worked, now it does not work correctly any more. Is ther any hint on how to customize konueror correctly to support all functions of Google Maps?

Regards, Martin

PS: By the way: Is there a support forum for these konqueror sepcific questions?

Current System (2011-01-06):

Linux ... 2.6.35-24-generic #42-Ubuntu SMP Thu Dec 2 02:41:37 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux

KDE 4.5.1

Two Intel Unknown 800MHz processors, 8777.70 total bogomips, 3013M RAM

I think this is a Google problem rather than a Konqueror problem as openstreetmaps work ok but not Google maps.

Konqueror is part of KDE Base, and thus the Workspace forum is correct.

You may need to adjust your User Agent to Firefox, or Safari.
