In KDE 3.5 there is a perfect feature allowing me to reboot to specific operating system (Linux, Windows, Linux failsafe etc.)

When I have upgraded to KDE 4, there is no menu item in shutdown menu to select what OS I want to load.

Which boot loader do you use? (Usually it's GRUB or LILO). You might need to set the correct on in System Settings -> Advanced -> Login Manager -> Shutdown -> Boot manager.

Also, support for GRUB seems to have been fixed just recently: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=63800

I suspect that this, like a lot of things, is a matter of waiting or putting a wish into bugs.kde.org
