Some applications won't start... :(

Thu Jan 28, 2010 5:02 am
I have a problem. When I want to open Qt-Creator or KDevelop, it is not starting up. the icon is just bouncing under the cursor and after a while it quits without showing up :( What could be the problem and how could i make it start?

thanks (:

Open Konsole and try running them from there. If they still fail to start, please post the output.

Code: Select all
kdevelop4

queenz@linux-o401:~> kdevelop4
If 'kdevelop4' is not a typo you can use command-not-found to lookup the package that contains it, like this:
cnf kdevelop4

You need to either update your KDevelop package or recompile it, as it is affected by the break in binary compatibility during the Qt 4.6 development. ( Only affects those applications compiled aganist a Qt 4.6 development release )
