I haven't tried Ubuntu Tweak yet but my problem is with aptitude I think.
When I try to launch plasma-desktop, it tells me the command is not found and I can install it using apt-get install kdebase-workspace-bin . I tried so and it told me that kdebase-workspace-bin is already at the latest version available. Any idea ? Thanks Apparently, all these problems are Kubuntu specific. There is something wrong with there packages.
simply solved the problem for me. |

Tweak probably won't do anything for you. Try hitting Alt+F2, typing in Konsole, then sudo apt-get install plasma-desktop. I hope you aren't running nVidia drivers, because it doesn't like those. |

Btw, granted you have kubuntu-desktop or kdebase-workspace installed, plasma-desktop will get dragged in upon upgrade.
Annoyed with bbcode since 1999.
