The "about kde" menu item in the "help" menu (all apps with this item), is way to big (about 4 times the height that it needs to be). I just updated to kde 4.4, but the problem was in 4.3.5 as well. What has happened to this menu option?

I am using Oxygen, but I tried different styles and it didn't help.

I created a new user and the problem does not exist in that session.

If you remove /var/tmp/kdecache-$USER/kpc and logout and back in again does this make any difference?

It make no difference after deleting the kpc directory.

Can you try switching colour scheme to the default?

The default colour scheme didn't help...

When you changed style, did the appearance of applications change? It seems that you are using the Gtk style...

Yes, the appearance of the kde apps does change. I also tried changing the GTK font option. Neither of these things helped fix the problem.
