Can you please verify that running /usr/lib/kde4/libexec/lnusertemp manually encounters no issues?
Make sure your user can write to ~/.kde4, /var/tmp and /tmp

Re: kde4 call to lnusertemp failed

THE MESSAGE CALL TO LNUSERTEMP NOT APPEARS ANYMORE...

Instead, when i try log, it fails and back to the login screen again..

i dont have the ~/.kde4 folder, just ~/.kde, and i can write on /.kde, /tmp and /var/tmp.

the commando gimme this exit:

/usr/lib/kde4/libexec/lnusertemp
Usage: lnusertemp tmp|socket|cache

Im so frustrated with that! All peoples i search on google solved this problem easily...i try everything and i cant solve.

Have Some more clues about how to solve this issue?

I think i messed up too with the symbolic links...

Can you confirm to me if its all really ok??

#ls -l /tmp
total12
drwx------ 5 root root 4096 Mar 6 19:50 0236245909
drwx------ 2 andre andre 4096 Mar 6 19:50 kde-andre
drwx------ 2 root root 4096 Mar 6 19:50 kde-root

#ls -l /var/tmp
total 16
drwxrwx--- 4 andre andre 4096 Mar 6 19:13 kdecache-andre
drwx------ 2 root root 4096 Mar 6 14:07 kdecache-root
drwx------ 2 root root 4096 Mar 6 11:17 kdecache-supercharger
drwx------ 2 root root 4096 Mar 6 11:17 kdecache-superchargerS76rp4

#ls -l ~/.kde
total 16
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Mar 5 12:38 Autostart
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 22 Mar 4 13:44 cache-andre -> /var/tmp/kdecache-root
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Mar 5 12:38 env
drwx------ 5 root root 4096 Mar 5 12:38 share
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Mar 5 12:38 shutdown
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 17 Mar 4 13:44 socket-andre -> /tmp/ksocket-root
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 13 Mar 4 07:54 tmp-andre -> /tmp/kde-root

in ~/.kde folder is these symbolic links

cache-andre to /var/tmp/kdecache-andre
kde-andre to /tmp/kde-andre
kdecache-andre to /var/tmp/kdecache-andre
ksocket-andre to /tmp/ksocket-andre
tmp-andre to /tmp/kde-andre

in these directories have these folders:

/var/tmp:

kdecache-andre
kdecache-root
kdecache-supercharger
kdecache-superchargerS76rp4

/tmp:

kde-andre
kde-root

its all ok?

It appears that your users symlink has been set to the symlinks for root.
To correct this, with no KDE users logged in, and as root:

Code: Select all
rm -rf /var/tmp/kdecache-*
rm -rf /tmp/kde-*
rm -rf /tmp/ksocket-*
rm /root/.kde/*-*
rm /home/*/.kde/*-*

This worked for me, thanks man..
This ate my time a lot... if you do this through recovery mode, don't forget to make it writable.
# mount -o rw,remount /
