Hi,
I've new Kde 4.3.5 installation and there are some problems with Dolphin.
When I set split view and restart Dolphin, split view is disabled. It remembers other options, but split view is disabled every time.
On second computer split view is enabled all the time and works ok.

What version of KDE does the other machine use? Also, can you reproduce under a new user?

Well the problem is solved.
I don't know how I didn't notice option split view mode in settings. Just had to enable it.
It is a little uninitiative, all other options are permanent by clicking icon but you have to enable split view in settings.
I've just noticed that Dolphin doesn't remember settings(icon view, folder location) separate for left/right side :(( .

Given the other options are remembered, you may wish to file a bug...

The original intention was that View > Adjust View Properties wass where you set the defaults - and they should be remembered and used in all folders - except where you manually override them. The icons were intended to be for use with that specific folder. As time has gone on, the Adjust View Properties has been given the options to apply to the current folder, current plus subfolders, or all folders. Useful as it is, there is no option to set split view in Adjust View Properties, so it's probably more of a Wish (feature enhancement) than a bug, but the method of reporting is exactly the same.
