Hi all,
I searched and looked through the FAQ and found a message about this for KDE 4.2, but have found no answer. I would like to disable the balloons that pop up above the panel (or whatever the bit at the bottom of the screen is called). I'm using KDE 4.4, so I thought that something might have been done about this. Thanks for any tips.

Thanks for reminding me - this needs to be put on userbase

Click on the panel toolbox (aka 'the cashew'), then right-click on the taskbar. There you have the Task Manager settings. There, on the General section, is Show Tooltips.
