Hi there
Since last update to kde 4.2.2 the scrolling in dolphin is very slow. Its like the speed is half or 1/4 of the one in other apps (chromium or kmail). Anyone knows if this is configurable or a real bug? Don't you experience that? PS: This is not a rendering issue, its just that I need to scroll/hit the mouse wheel much more.. |

I'm seeing it too.

Hey, I see it as well! Looks like it started with KDE 4.3.2. I upgraded today (from 4.3.1), and didn't see it before.
So, who files a bug report? ![]() |

You mean from 4.2.1 to 4.2.2 ![]() https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=233163 |

Nope, from 4.3.1 to 4.3.2. I don't recall encountering this bug in 4.3.1 version. |

Just updated to 4.4.2, thanks to Nicolas at Mandriva for the packaging.
Wondered what you were talking about until I tried using the scroll wheel. Yes I must learn to read some of the posts a bit deeper. Yes I had the same problem. Tried the same thing using a new user, and Dolphin is now back to normal! One thing I did notice when I was setting up the new user, the menu for all desktop effects is now dreadfully slow to scroll with the wheel! Something has gone amiss. |

Sorry to report it does look like a bug! Been playing around with the
latest release of Wine. Just gone to use Dolphin and it's back to its slowwww ways ![]() Anyone have any working solutions? |

It's being looked at at bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=233163
PS.: A very temporary workaround is to disable and enable again Groups view every time you start Dolphin. |
