After the latest update to KDE 4.4.2 (I'm using Kubuntu 9.10), the right-click menu of Kopete now behaves strangely. E.g. the menu flickers, and submenus fall off the right edge of the screen (where my system tray lies), on the first time they're accessed--they then open on the correct part of the screen subsequently. I'm using version 1.0.0 of Kopete.

Everything else in the system tray works fine, except that I've noticed since the update to 4.4.x that there is no mouseover notification for the network manager, and left-clicking it causes the menu to pop up in the top left corner of the screen (very far away from the system tray!). Right-clicking gives the right effect, and causes subsequent left-clicks to open the menu in the right place. Odd, but I take it a separate issue from Kopete, since that worked with 4.4.0 and 4.4.1.

This is due to a badly backported Kubuntu specific change. The responsible people have been sacked and now new people are hard at work to fix this

Thanks. I noticed also that even taskbar preview thumbnails (in smooth tasks) sometimes fall off the screen. I hope they release a proper update soon.
