Activities and Panels

Tue Apr 13, 2010 3:01 pm
Whenever I create a new plasma activity, it still has the same panels as my original. Is there a way to get a completely clean activity, with no panels, yet have my original activity retain its panels?

:(

I cry now.

Wasn't this possible in the past?
On my dual-monitor desktop I have separate activities on each display, and the panels are different. Is that only possible with multiple monitors then?

Currently panels are global - they are not attached to activities. I believe there is some intention to make it so that you can use different panels for different activities, but that won't happen until 4.5 at earliest (I believe).

To answer your questions:
No, this wasn't possible in the past.
Yes, the panels are different because one is positioned on the first monitor and the other on the other monitor.

I guess I got confused working with the dual monitors. Oh well, until 4.5 then...

Thanks for the responses!
