Not sure if this is the right board, but anyway:

I have a problem that's a bit annoying:

Pressing ALT-F2 for Krunner or using the Lancelot search field, after writing a few characters, they just hang, for like 10/15s... then they continue accepting the input and doing the autocomplete for suggested command name.

Any ideas of what is causing this? Some cache?

I'm running the latest 4.4 available from Kubuntu backports.

Which runners do you have activated?

Hi!

Almost all of them, In fact disabling the ones that I don't need, solved the issue. I belive it was the contacts runner.

For future reference, for other readers, just press ALT-F2 and press the wrench icon. De-select the runners that are not needed.

Just to add I see the same behaviour, I noticed it after using the backports to updgrade to 4.4.

Krunner is something I just use, I've never had a need to change the settings, so something else must have bogged it down, it's almost to the point where it's unusable. I haven't yet got it working to my liking.

Is this one of those situations where deleting a (perhaps bloated) config file is likely to fix it?

Exactly my situation, using the backports.

Backports are mainly my main reason for thinking to change for a rolling distro like Arch Linux...
