Hello everybody!

I am currently using KDE 4.4.2 with ArchLinux. I actually have two problems I do not experience in other desktop environment I have used before.

"Standard Keyboard Shortcuts - System Settings " is not working properly. For the paste action, there is an Alternate default shortcut : Shift+Ins I would like to set to none. I set it to custom, and pressed Apply, but when I close the System Settings windows, the Alternate shortcut is set back to default as if it never saved my config. I have looked for the config file to modify it manually, but no success up to now.

I am trying to have back the "Selection Paste" I used to have with other desktop environment. Usually I select a string and all I have to do is Shift+Ins to paste it, but in KDE, this is the alternate default shortcut to paste the Ctrl+C clipboard clipboard content, not the selection clipboard. I want to change that. Who do I do that?

Thanks for helping in advance

I have confirmed the Standard Keyboard Shortcuts issue here on my system, but believe it to be intended functionality ( apart from the fact that it shouldn't accept the "None" but have a seperate option for this ).

I have not been able to find a GUI function in KDE which controls "Selection Paste" however middle click on my mouse seems to do it.

The only way I know of, which is a bit of a work-around and may interfere with your workflow, is to enable (in Klipper) the "Synchronize content of the clipboard and the selection".

The Klipper solution seems interesting I'll give it a try.

Thanks for your helps :)
