KDE 4.4.2 has been rock solid for me. But as I have always felt, Kwin has its performance issues. Where as with compiz KDE feels a lot more snappier.

Although glxgears is no benchmark but glxgears gives me 3000 frames per 5 seconds with compiz as compared to 1600 frames / 5 seconds with Kwin.

Desktop effects are lot smoother and overall system feels a lot more snappier.

Now only issue is that compiz even in KDE, seems to use Gnome's (Metacity's??) window manager (i.e. title bar etc..., See screenshot)

I do realize that Kwin and Compiz cannot run together, Is it however possible to get Kwin's title bar etc with compiz ?

I have tried installing compiz-kde, but it brings compizconfig-backend-kconfig which brings kde3 dependencies kdelibs42ca etc ..With all this stuff, the title bars doesnt come at all.

Basically looking to get Oxygen titlebars etc with compiz ..
