Hi, I'm running Kubuntu 10.04 with KDE 4.4.3, and I don't seeem to be able to do any file operations in the folder pane, I can copy folders from the file pane to the folder pane but not from the folder pane to the file pane or from folder to folder in the folder pane, also if I delete a folder from the folder pane the first one refreshes the view, then any subsequent deletion requires closing and opening Konq. to refresh.
Is this the way it is supposed to work now? or is something wrong. I still do all these thing in 9.10 Trinity. And I have been enjoying 4.4.3, but this kind of file operation seems pretty basic. Edit: Well I don't think it's broken, I just installed 9.04 KDE 4.2 on a laptop here at work and it seems to do the same thing, I wonder if it's possible to replace the new Konq. with the older one? |

What do you mean by Folder Pane and File Pane? Are you using the Column view?

What I mean by "folder pane" is the list of folders on the left, and the "file pane" would be the contents of the folders on the right, or what one would call "explorer view" if they were using windows, this is not column view |

Found it. Konqueror calls it the "sidebar"
I managed to reproduce the folder deletion issue you were describing. Please file a bug report at bugs.kde.org so it can be fixed. For the previous file management from the sidebar capability, please file a wishlist report at bugs.kde.org.
