icon size in panel is quite small

Thu Jun 03, 2010 5:58 am
In KDE 3.5 the K-Menu and Desktop icons in the panel were appropriately sized for the width of the panel (I use a right-aligned vertical panel). Now they are very small -- they appear to have a maximum size. In fact, as I increase the panel size I can see them grow, then suddenly shrink again.

My launcher icons are larger since I can control their size, but I can't adjust the size of the other icons.

Is there a way to increase the size of the kmenu and desktop icons?

The limit of panel icons is hard coded in KDE 4.4. This has been changed in KDE 4.5 to be controlled by a panel icon size setting in System Settings > Application Appearance > Icons.

In KDE 4.5, will there be a way to fix the width of menu icons, as I want to use one of the longer icons here:
http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/KM ... tent=69228
but it gets all squashed up and resized.
Thanks.

As far as I am aware, the limit has not been changed at this point in time.
