Hello, Guys
Just this Konqueror issue bothers me really bad. So decide to share it here and see if anyone has a better solution. Java support is really poor in konqueror. For example, 1. on webex.com and just try to join a test meeting. It never opens the meeting window however there is no error or any kind prompt. 2. facebook.com, if you try to upload a picture, you have to choose simple uploading tool in konqueror in order to do the job. Why java can not be made work properly like in firefox and chrome? Is there any critical hurdle that I did not know? My solution: use konqueror for normal browsing and switch to firefox or chrome for java sites. This bothers, right? Please suggest some useful solution if you have. Thanks, |

Facebook Java-based pictures uploader works rather poorly in my Chromium. В Контакте (V Kontakte, http://vkontakte.ru aka "Russian Facebook") makes an extensive use of AJAX and Flash which IMO yields a far more better results. I usually prefer to stay away from Java. And I wish Flash died asap and HTML5, open standards based architecture, saw a rapid rise in popularity. |

Isn't this what bugs.kde.org is for? Konqueror will support webkit in KDE 4.5.

Ok........
When I was in 4.1 with openSUSE 11, Akonadi with google sync was planned to be included in kde 4.3; now I am in kde 4.3 with openSUSE 11.2, akonida is still nowhere near production. So ..... |

Akonadi has had google capabilities for a while now. Install the akonadi-googledata package (or something like that) in the kde community repository.
