Hello
I love KDE Im using Kubuntu 10.04 and since the last Update off KDE to 4.4.5 I have the following Problem. For some autostarted Systray Applications (JAnrufmonitor, KBiff, Multiget and D4X) I now not only get an Icon in the Systray as it should be, but an Empty little Window in the upper right Corner of the Desktop and an Empty entry (only X Icon and a Number if there are more than one) in the Taskbar. Is this a Bug or a feature? Is there any Way to change that? Thanks |

This seems to be an error in qt 4.7 beta2 (when you enable the repository to upgrade to kde4.5 qt is updated to 4.7 beta2).
I'm trying to downgrade qt to 6.3... |

I found a repository with a fixed 4.7beta2 of libqt:
just write: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:thilo.ginkel/qt4.7-bugfix sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade This fix the empty windows and taskbar entrys for sysstray applications |

Hello
That helped for some time, but now after a Update the Problem is back and the packages in the Repository are not recognized anymore. What now? Thanks |
