Hi,
What are System Settings->Font Settings fonts like Serif, Sans Serif, Monospace? Obviously there are default values for them somewhere. How do I set them? Use anti-aliasing: System Settings; What are the these settings? How do I change them? Besides, the Configure button nearby is always grey. |

This fonts are just aliases to some others usually Deja Vu Serif, Deja Vu Sans, Deja Vu Sans Mono But it could be Bitstream Vera family or other. You could substitute Serif, Sans Serif, Monospace with the help of ~/.fonts.conf or /etc/fonts/fonts.conf

~/.fonts.conf and /etc/fonts/fonts.conf don't looke like manually editable configs. In fact, /etc/fonts/fonts.conf contains a warning:

Correction, you have to edit /etc/fonts/local.conf (first create it if not exist).
