Hello, I have installed Mandriva Spring 2010.1 KDE 4.4 and after unlocking the widgets the option turning system off has been disappeared, i have no only the option sleeping and user sign out but turning off is gone.
I have try the following solution removing the hidden map kde4 and removed the current wrong taskbar and reboot the pc. The taskbar is back but the option to turn mine system off still not available it drives me crazy i can't shutdown mine system normally, i must now sign off and pushing the on/off button of mine pc then the system will turning off please fix this issue for me. ![]() |

what is systemsettings -> System Admin -> Login Screen -> Shutdown -> local ?
it should be "everyone" |

Sorry no option to shutdown don't ask me why i have logoff and even mine name or the root name is vissible. But i fillin mine username and pwd and the system is starting.

and allow shutdown -> local is set to everybody?

Yes local is everybody even as root i didn't get the shutdown button

in systemsettings -> system administration -> startup & shutdown -> session management -> general is "offer shutdown options " checked?

Hello thanks problem is resolved i have now restart and shut dwon system back again great thanks.

Hello Problem is back again while i have nothing changed ithappens only with Mandriva, when using MEPIS or Arch Linux i have no any problem with these distro's but the wireless connection is an problem.
