Some Kickoff icons are wrong, like this:

Every other thing seems fine; how can I revert Kickoff icons back to the original ones?

Can you reproduce under a new user?
If you can't, can you check that the Oxygen icon set is selected in System Settings > (Application) Appearance > Icons?

If I logon with another user Kickoff icons are ok.
When I go home I'll check the settings that you mentioned and report.

For some reason there was another icon (other than Oxygen) set selected.
