Hi All,
I was setting up Dolphin with split panes and just making it how I like it to be and all of a sudden I noticed I can't minimize or resize the window anymore? It is like pressing F11 in Firefox, no more toolbar and no more buttons to minimize, etc the window. It even covers the start button in the lower left so you can't get to anything unless you choose FILE and QUIT. At least I have the menu. Thanks to anyone who knows what I did. Oh this is in KDE 4.4.4. Thanks. ...Brad |

Used the window menus, advanced, full-screen option by accident maybe?

Hmm.. I don't see an option in the tool bar for "Advanced". I have File, Edit, View, Go, Tools, Settings and Help. I've looked all through these settings. The funny thing is the lack of a "toolbar" which would normally have the little Max/Min arrows. There is only the Menu with the entries I listed above.
Anyway, Dolphin launches full screen and that is it until I use FILE/QUIT.

Click on the dolphin-icon on the far-left and you get a menu where you can find it. Actually, you can find that menu under the application specific icon on the far-left in any program regardless if it's a KDE-program or not.

Thanks for the reply. I just figured it out. Turns out that I had mistakenly (during my flurry of clicks experimenting with the new desktop) chosen both ADVANCE-Fullscreen AND Maximized from the menu you get when you click the DOLPHIN icon. However, when it is in "full screen" mode, you lost that icon.
I finally figured out that if I switched virtual desktops (where you could actually see the bottom toolbar where app names reside that are running) I could right click Dolphin and un-select those options. So if you ever want to mess with someone, just choose Fullscreen and Maximized from that menu, it will mess them up for a while. ![]() Thanks for all the help. ...Brad
