I am using kubuntu 10.04 and am getting "An unknown error happened." when using kpackagekit. I have tried to reinstall it and have done a dist-upgrade to KDE 4.5.1 and the error is still happening. apt-get , aptitude and synaptic work fine in kubuntu but kpackagekit is causing errors and it is really annoying

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I installed synaptic, uninstalled all the packagekit libraries and programs, then reinstalled.

It is now working fine.
