I have installed Arch Linux, KDE 4.5.1. I massed up some configuration of KDE.
When I resize windows, contents shrinks or stretches. I have no clue how to fix this. Anyone how to fix this? Thank you. I made Youtube screen cast. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dw36OQCcPc |

Do you use the default KDE window manager, KWin? I remember that Compiz Fusion had an option to do this (if normal resize is too slow). If you don't know which window manager you use, you can try to run
and see if it fixes it. (In that case, it's probably a setting in Compiz Fusion or whatever window manager you use.)

Thank you for quick reply. It didn't fix the problem. I got a hint you. And I looked through the enabled Desktop effects under System Setting > Desktop Effects > All Effects. And I unchecked "Resize Window". And restarted the computer. And things work nice. Hans, thank you. |

I didn't know that KWin had such an effect as well, good that you found it! And thanks for marking it as solved, although I've marked your last reply as the best answer (by clicking on underneath it).

I am sorry if I broke forum rules. I just pressed "SET_TOPIC_SOLVED" button. I do not know how to mark a reply as the best answer. I search for it. I couldn't get one. Would like to let me know how to mark a reply as the best answer? Then, I might be able to delete the mark. Thank you. |

No problem, don't worry about it.
There is a button under each post (together with EDIT, QUOTE etc.). To mark a post as the "best answer", simply click on under that specific post. This way others can easily find the post that solved the problem. For example if you go to viewforum.php?f=66 you can see that some posts have a green tick next to it. Clicking on it will take you directly to the post with the solution. Hope that was clear enough, and if not don't hesitate to ask. EDIT: See this post for a description of some forum features.
