Hi,

I would like to create different panels for each of my virtual desktop. Currently, I can change the background and add different widgets on each virtual desktop, but the panels are the same.

For example, if I remove the digital clock widget in my bottom panel in virtual desktop 1, it is also removed in virtual desktop 2.

Is there a way to do this?

Thanks!

I'm afraid not. I don't know if it's being planned for a future release, but for now the panels are global.

Having different panels for different activities is planned, it may be in 4.6 (if it isn't already).

Thank you for your replies and for the good news (about 4.6)!

I was searching for this feature like crazy so, in a sense, I'm happy it's perfectly normal that I did not find it!

Cheers

Actually, a Plasma developer just said that it isn't planned:
not planned, but I have a vague memory of aaron talking about how it could be done.

what we’d need is a volunteer to write the code – I can’t think of anyone who’d have time for it…
