Hi,

unfortunately, I remapped ALT+F2 to another commnand which overwrote the hotkey for launching the KDE app launcher. How can I remap ALT+F2 to the app launcher?
I'm using KDE 4.4.3

Thanks in advance :)

Right-click on the launcher icon. Select "Application launcher settings". In the new window, select "Keyboard shortcut" and re-set it to alt-f2. You will get a warning that it conflicts with your other command but that won't be a problem since you will get the option to remap it from your other command to your launcher.

I think you misunderstood me. I was writing about KRunner, which is launched by pressing ALT+F2 by default. How can I remap KRUnner to launch using the default hotkeys?

Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks :)

System Settings -> Keyboard & Mouse -> Global Keyboard Shortcuts -> KDE component: Run Command Interface -> Run Command.

I think the hotkey setting should really be added to the menu you get when pressing the wrench icon in Krunner, as changing it via "System Settings" is not very convenient.

Sounds like a good idea; there is room for a third tab, "Keyboard Shortcut". Mind adding it to Brainstorm? ;)
