Hi to everybody. This is my first message here though I've been a KDE user since 1998.

Now I'm using kde 4.4 on openSuse 11.3. My graphics card is a NVidia Gforce G 103M and I have proprietary driver installed and working. Everything is working fine but when I lock the screen and I tried to unlock I just can see a dialog with no text in it. After typing my password I get to the desktop againg with no further problem.

It's not a severe problem but really anoying. Besides, gl screensavers just show a blank screen.

I tried to disable composite but didn't solve the problem.

Any idea of what can be happening or something I can do?

Thanks in advance.
Dhouard.

as 4.4 is a bit old I'd advise you up to 4.5.2 which is in the factory repo to see if up'ing resolves the problem http://en.opensuse.org/KDE_repositories ... _SC_4.5.29

another thing to test is if the problem exists if you log in as a different user

OpenSuse Leap 42.1 x64, Plasma 5.x

Same behaviour on kde 4.5. I tried lanchuing screensaver on a window with prefix

env XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS = 1

And no change.

Greetings.
Dhouard.
