What is Awesome?
Awesome is a highly configurable window manager with lots of features as window tiling, workspaces (improved virtual desktops), scripting with Lua. Screenshots, other screenshots KDE How to {wiki} * Create a script ~/.kde/env/awesomewm containing:
* Mark it executable
KDE integration (Awesome's default configuration is stored at /etc/xdg/awesome/rc.lua) This is my rc.lua that tweaks some mouse and keyboard bindings that match KDE's behaviour. [/introduction] I know KWin has just recently gotten tiling support but, the last time I tried it, it did not do well with my dual screen setup. Awesome, on the contrary does work very well here. So I wonder what experiences others might have had. My current issues: * KIO file transfers are annoying sometimes, messing with the layout. * Some Plasma menus might be tiled automatically * KRunner might not appear again (I think this is dual screen related) * Dual screen, again: «Show dashboard» shows both dashboards on one screen.

Do you mean?:
1. Different activities per desktop? I don't know. I have not used that feature at all. I'll try later. 2. Switch desktops per screen? Yes, it does.
