SOLVED: KDE Menu Editor

Tue Nov 30, 2010 1:11 am
My system: FreeBSD 8.1, KDE 4.5.3

I moved accidentaly "Office" to the Internet and I try to use Menu Editor to
correct. Not success but every time when I open Menu Editor I have Office1
which I deleted than I have Office2 than 3...but changes which I made doesn't
stay.
I tried to use
kbuildsycoca4 --noincremental
but it doesn't work.

Thanks in advance.

Assuming you have nothing custom in your menu, remove all *.menu files under ~/.local/ and run "kbuildsycoca4 --noincremental". You may also need to remove all files from ~/.local/share/applications/, which is where application launchers you have created through the menu are stored.

Is it a bug otherwise is an unusual method to setup menu.

Thank you for the help.

A problem is solved:

When I open Menu Editor there was Office9. Than I move from "old" office everything to the new one and deleted the old one.Looks that is okay.
Thank you.
