I have some scripts that i use to process files and open a konsole window in the right place based upon required function.

eg: i have a script that runs konsole -e ssh ....

I notice that these konsole windows always open behind the current open window (which is firefox/opera in my case). is there a way to bring the newly opened window to the front.

This is probably KWin's focus stealing prevention kicking in. Open System Settings > Window Behaviour > Window Behaviour > Focus stealing prevention level, and adjust it to a lower setting.
