dolphin wastebin settings

Thu Dec 23, 2010 3:12 pm
I am trying to customise the trash settings for KDE4. Apparently the settings for 'delete files older than...' is not working. What I wanted to do was point the trash can to a central disk mount point that gets backed up every night and put a time limit on when the files are deleted. (Older than 59 days...)

I still have files in the trash that are older then 59 days but have not been deleted.

Also when I popup the wastebin settings dialog in dolphin (about=version 1.4, KDE 4.4.5) , as well as getting the 'Older than...' and 'Limit to maximum size..' options, I get list of directories - where are these directories set ?

KDE 4.4.5 is quite old... KDE 4.5 is recommended. Can you please provide a screenshot of what you are seeing? My (KDE 4.6) Dolphin does not have a folder selection list in the Wastebin settings.
