Dolphin and music file properties

Tue Jan 11, 2011 3:42 pm
When browsing music files in Dolphin additional data is shown in the Information Panel (or right-click a file then select Properties...Information).

For music files this usually includes things such as Track Number, Genre, Codec etc.

For most of my FLAC files Dolphin does not show anything yet for a very small number it IS showing the Genre but a different value to the Genre displayed when I look at the file in a tag editor or music library/player.

I've also tried looking at these files with the metaflac utility and this too disagrees with the information shown in Dolphin.

Does anyone know where Dolphin is getting this information from and how I can edit or remove it?

Thanks.

Dolphin uses Strigi to extract this information I believe.
