Shortcut key for the calculator widget not working

I'm using KDE 4.5.5 on OpenSuse 11.3 64-bit. I frequently need to do short calculations so I'm using the calculator widget. I'm trying to set up a shortcut key that will quickly get me to the calculator. Although the preferences panel has that option, nothing works. The system doesn't respond to the shortcut key.

Any solutions?

I have the same problem. I think KDE mistakenly gets the XF86Calculator keypress for something else. Can you open a bug on bugs.kde.org?
