wierd plasma behaviour

Tue Jan 18, 2011 10:05 pm
This has started happening to me only latley.
After some time working on my laptop, plasma starts going crazy outputting a whole load of messages about file copying.
Here is a screenshot so you get what my problem is.

Forgot to add: after a bit of this behaviour, plasma crashes and then goes back to normal.

Which applets do you use, and which version of KDE are you using? If you use the Pastebin applet, which backend for it do you have selected?

Hi, thanks for your interest in my problem.
My kde version is 4.5.5 running on arch linux.

I don't use the pastebin applet. The new applet I started using is "choqok" ( and only applet ). Now that you got me thinking, last night after plasma crashed, i didn't use choqok and I didn't seem to have any problems. I'll do some tests today

Try selectively removing and restoring the applet's you are using (especially third party ones) to see if that changes the behaviour of Plasma. Also, try to reproduce under a new user.
