Hi everyone,

I have the problem in the subject: from time to time my personal fonts settings in KDE disappear and all fonts are reset to default. I'm using KDE 4.5 on Fedora 14. Did anyone experience the same? Thanx for your help,

w.

Does this occur during a session or only when starting up a session? If it is when starting a session, please check the permissions of ~/.fonts.conf

Hello! I have the same problem, after reboot the fonts are reset. The system settings only saves settings if I start it as root. This began after upgrading to maverick...

I suggest ensuring the permissions of ~/.font* are correct. They should be read-write to your user, and owned by your user.

I just know that something similar happens with Kubuntu, whenever you access kdm settings in systemsettings, your fonts get reverted back to the ugly Ubuntu font. Maybe this has something to do with this as well?

Unfortunately it isn't known why the font settings get reinitialized to the distribution specified defaults at this time. I believe a bug report already exists about it.

I have the same problem under Kubuntu 11.10 with KDE 4.7.2.
My font settings keep being reset after every other reboot. :'(
