Is it possible, using Kate to do the following?
1- Paste a base64 text and decode it (or encode text to base 64) 2- Paste a XML file and format it one tag per line? For 1) I have to paste into a file and, using the command line util base64, convert it to text or vice-versa. For two, unlike Notepad++ where I can replace >< by >\n<, is not possible on Kate. Any ideas? |

Actually, you can do replace >< with >\n< in Kate, you have to make sure that the Mode is set to Excape sequences (similar to what you need to do in np++).

Hi!
Thanks for your input. Anyway, I've built a Kate Script that adds to Kate the encode/decode base64 functions. It works on the full document or only on selected text. Anyway my preliminary tests where successful but I want to first check with real data to see if it's OK. Then I'll post the script at kde-apps web site. ![]() |

Just post a solution to my problem at: http://kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=138046
It extends Kate with BASE64 functions and some other (usefull) functions for me, like solving point 2). ![]() |
